하나님의 복음은 살아있습니다...

TALKING
- Do you go to church anywhere? Tell me about it.
TESTIMONY
- Church is important to me because that's where I learned how I can go to heaven.
TWO QUESTIONS
- May I ask you a question? If you died tonight, do you know for sure you would go to heaven?
- Let me ask you another question. If God asked you, "Why should I let you into my heaven?" what would you say?
TRANSITION
- I have really good news for you! Would it be OK if I shared with you how I know for sure I'm going to heaven and how you can know this too?

HEAVEN
- Heaven is a free gift. It is not something you work for or deserve.
- The Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life"(Romans 6:23).
- The Bible also says, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast"(Ephesians 2:8-9).
- What keeps us from getting this gift?

MAN
- Man is a sinner and cannot save himself. Sin is lying, stealing, cheating, disobeying, or anything that we think, say, do, or don't do that displeases God.
- The Bible says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"(Rom3:23).
- Man cannot save himself because he can't be perfect.
- The Bible also says, "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect"(Mat 5:48).

- ROTTEN EGG ILLUSTRATION: Trying to be good enough would be just like trying to bake chocolate chip cookies with a rotten egg. Even if the flour, sugar, and butter are all good, one rotten egg ruins all the cookies. In God's eyes, one sin is enough to ruin all the good we do. See? Just being good or just a little bit rotten doesn't meet God's standard.
- Why does God want perfection?

GOD
- God is holy, loving and just.
- The Bible says about God, "Your eyes are too pure to look on evil. You cannot tolerate wrong"(Habakkuk 1:13).
- It also says, "God is love,"(1John4:8b) and "Yet He does not leave the guilty unpunished"(Exodus 34:7).
- On the one hand, God loves us and doesn't want to punish us; on the other hand, He is just and must punish sin.
- Do you see the problem? God solved this problem by sending His Son Jesus.

CHRIST
- Jesus is God. He came from heaven to earth, lived a perfect life, died on the cross to pay for our sins, was buried and rose from the dead on the third day and is in heaven now offering us the free gift of eternal life.
- The Bible says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life"(John 3:16).
- The Bible also says, "... and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity(sin) of us all"(Isaiah 53:6).
- GARCIA ILLUSTRATION: Once there was a man named Garcia who lived in a communist country. He was the leader of a group of people who were trying to overthrow the dictator. His group lived in tents out in the country and was constantly on the move. They also kept their families with them. One night Garcia's lieutenant came and told him someone broke into the supply tent and stole some food. Garcia was outraged because there wasn't much food and it had to be rationed. He got all the families and told them that anyone caught stealing food would be publicly whipped.
Not long after that night, the lieutenant came to Garcia and told him that more food had been stolen. The thief was caught, but it was also his own mother! Talk about predicament! Garcia had a problem. If he whipped his elderly mother, she would probably die. But if he did not punish her, he would lose the authority and respect of everyone as their leader.
Everyone wondered what he would do. Garcia pronounced the judgment. Then he did something that shocked everyone. He took off his shirt from his own back and ordered his lieutenant to whip him instead of his mother! You see, only this way was Garcia's justice satisfied. At the same time, the love for his mother was proven. The penalty was paid, but it was paid by Garcia himself. We are like Garcia's mother and Jesus paid the penalty for our sins.
- How do we get this gift of eternal life?

FAITH
- By faith. Faith is not just knowing about God in your head. Faith is not just temporary. Faith is trusting in Jesus Christ alone with your whole heart.
- The Bible says, "Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved"(Acts 16:31).
- The Bible also says, "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"(Romans 10:9).

- LIFEBOAT ILLUSTRATION: Trusting in Jesus Christ alone is like going out in the ocean on a beautiful day in a small boat. I'm miles out, my boat springs a leak and sinks. I'm left holding onto a small piece of wood to stay afloat. No matter how hard I try it's too far to swim to shore. I'd never make it. Then, suddenly a boat appears beside me, the captain sees my problem and throws me a life preserver. Do I just hang on to the little piece of wood I have been trusting in to save me, or do I grab the life preserver? I grab the life preserver! Saving faith is just like that. I stop trusting in whatever I am holding on to save me, and switch to trusting in Jesus who can really save me.
- Does this make sense to you?

COMMITMENT
- Would you like to pray now to ask Jesus to forgive your sin and to give you the gift of eternal life?
- This means that you want to trust in Jesus, turn from your sins, and follow Him.
- Jesus says in the Bible, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in..."(Revelation 3:20).
- If this is what you want, then we can pray together. I can pray and you can repeat after me: "Dear Jesus, forgive my sins and come into my heart as my Lord and Savior, Amen."
- The Bible says, "I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life"(John 6:47).
- Now, let me ask you a question. If you died tonight, do you know for sure you would go to heaven? If God asked you, "Why should I let you into my heaven?" what would you say now?
-The Bible also says, "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God"(John 1:12).
- Welcome to the family of God!
